Notes with Steve Sclarow
Present: Alyssa Cole, Jeremy Mancini, Holly Nelson, Kricket Robinson, Jerry Salsini and Steve Sclarow
JEREMY: Review pitch deck with Steve for feedback.
STEVE: Okay how can I help?
HOLLY: Is there something blatant missing?
STEVE: Story is clear. Some Observations on streamlining further.
SLIDE 3: Bullet points. If you highlight rather than reading aloud, this would be more streamlined. Don’t give away the solution right away. Define the bullet point of the solution (preferably in sets of 3s to aid rhythm/storytelling)
SLIDE 10: really define what the end result is. Talking in 3s is great. Maybe move the solution to here because you don’t want to reveal that right away. Define the bullet point of the solution.
SLIDE 7: Do you want to more clearly identify Anna as a millennial? Also consider when it is done, adding labels under each icon to recapture it to the animation. At the end these can pop up as a reminder so that if you go back to this slide, you’ll have specifics.
SLIDE 9 & 10: Is 10 actually the primary benefit and slide 9 the following action?
HOLLY: Go back to creating community, content/calendar idea would work here as promoting the additional benefits.
STEVE: Is there a way to make the prototype larger?
JEREMY: How do you tease the solution?
STEVE: Ticket sales, community, etc.
ALL: Early in the deck, we agree taking the solution off altogether will work, then presenting it at the end
HOLLY: Really the app is the solution.
STEVE: Keeping it high level is great. You’re telling the story all the way through and ending with some strong big ideas.
