8-25-19 Meeting Notes w/ Group

August 25, 2019 By Jeremy Mancini

Present: Jeremy, Alyssa, Jerry, Kricket, Nicoli, Holly

Discussion:

  • App Idea (instead of digital marketing basic premium model)
  • App that connects theater goers to theater profile, productions and actors
  • Aggregator of theaters data
  • Users can get notifications of new productions
  • Users can get notifications of their favorite actors in new shows
  • Deliver promotional news (both internal promotion and cross promotions)
  • How much will this cost for theaters?
  • Possibly a grant from the city
  • Profit sharing
  • We can track the increase in ticket sales to theaters and we can get a percentage of profits
  • Pay for basic service
  • Track traffic and charge the traffic driven to the site/ticket sales
  • Take a percentage off tickets bought through app (charging buyer of ticket)
  • How would we market the app?
  • Ticket integration in the app to make it more user friendly so people do not have to get redirected to another website
  • The app could be our non-profit side and we could have a for-profit side that helps with their digital marketing
  • This may be too complicated
  • Tie this into the story that we are recreating the social aspect of theaters to build community

To do:

  • Update project proposal
  • Connect with Amy and Becca about our new project idea
  • Finish project plan and create deliverable list
  • Begin competitive analysis
  • Work on draft of project plan- due 9/13
