It is no secret that the growth of social media has been a tremendous benefit to marketers. For example, social media has helped with:

These are just a few, social media has many more advantages. The implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI), has propelled another layer of benefit to social media. Many social media platforms use AI in their everyday marketing process. Facebook uses machine learning to serve you content and they even have a process where they can recognize your face in photos, in their tagging feature. AI is even able to perform tasks needed for a social media post like the gathering and analyzing of information and then deciding which content to publish on a potentially 24/7 basis which is something humans cannot do, no matter how much coffee consumed.
AI goes even further, there are tools that deliver insights to marketers on how their brand is doing on their platforms. It can also help find emerging trends, find new audiences to target, and even identify new avenues for social media promotion.
Brendan Kane, the author of One Million Followers, has a few ideas on how AI will shape the way social media is used. For example, it could predict trending topics by following the news cycle and assist in developing a healthier relationship with social media. I believe the possibilities are endless on how technology will shape the way marketing is done.
Even though AI technology can be seen as a disruption to the way we use networking platforms as marketers, I believe that we need to start implementing this technology in our marketing strategies. To start here are some AI tools already in the market that can help marketers grow their brand.
