How It Works
Users who have successfully downloaded the Social Llamma application to either their iPhone or Android, will be able to access popular promotions, restaurant/bar specials and capacity levels, all locally, and in real time.This application requires location services to be enabled in order to provide accurate information to users who are in search of the hottest deals and locations. Our app is designed to provide information by collecting information. Users will be prompted to submit real-time reports and photos (optional) through the application based on their location check-ins. Social Llamma is able to organize this data to provide the most accurate real-time statistics needed to enjoy your night out!
A reward system will be instituted to incentivize users to share their information and increase engagement. For instance, check-ins and posts will be worth different points and once a certain amount of points are reached, users will receive gift cards or discounts to partner venues.
Although the ultimate goal is providing real-time results, there will be times when this information might not be 100% accurate. Gaining users and constant usage will be critical for Social Llamma in order to provide the necessary information to keep users wanting more. Measurement is going to be crucial during the initial stages in order to guarantee success so DevOps metrics and KPIs will be used to track application performance metrics.

As this product develops, we aim to expand to cities beyond Philadelphia and explore growing in scale to include other venues. In the future, the app has potential become a one-stop shop experience by partnering with other companies for a more complete experience. The app is used 100% in the mobile space. We want our users to be able to use the app while they’re already out so they always know what their next move is and that it’s the right one. However, a mobile site will be available for viewing the blog and other aspects of the app.
The app could possibly link to voice recognition systems at home in the future too like Echo and Google Home for those who would like to decide where is best to go before arranging transportation and leaving their house.
