Connectivity. Below are three social media ads seen over Labor Day weekend that connected to me. It might not create a connection for everyone. But before you deem my feelings unworthy, hear me out.
Take, for example, Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. Love it? Hate it? Yes, I know there are battles of the pros and cons that go on and on. But stop for a second, don’t think about how much you love or hate it, think about the simple fact that you know more than you should about Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Now, that’s great marketing. They start with many social media teasers connecting to things like the stress of going back to school.
Then after much waiting and anticipation, which some argue always comes too early, Pumpkin Spice Lattes arrive and are ready to be consumed.
For one, I appreciate lattes during long days and nights, like this one, staying up late typing this very post, so thank you Starbucks. Additionally, thank you for making pumpkin spice everything – it may be the only reason I can part with warm weather with open arms. You know what else I enjoy, labor day weekends without one…single…sunburn. So, when you have decided to hide from civilization (not that I did anything that smart) who will reach that spot on your back? SnappyScreen, of course.
Yes, yes. I know. Not very economical. But makes you want one, right? It’s also kind of hilarious. Mashable continues to drive great content that surprises, entertains and makes me laugh. But back to the sun – you know what else makes sunbathing awesome, tacos!
I know it’s not clickable…but I did click retweet and heart icons, does that count? Taco Bell is my ALL TIME FAVORITE twitter account. It’s always funny, surprising, relatable, nostalgic and down right entertaining. And guess what? When you talk to Taco Bell about how awesome your dad is, they agree!
Well, now that I have poured my heart out about all my feelings related to pumpkins, sun protection, and salsa…I hope maybe I have convinced you that these bands and their content are notable, followable and clickable. If not, what butters your bread?
