New Experity BI Platform Creates New Possibilities in Healthcare

July 27, 2022 By Regina Olkowski Leave a Comment

The amount of data at our fingertips is limitless. Data opens new possibilities from a cost savings standpoint, allows us to gather insights and offers a competitive advantage to make better, more informed decisions. However, without the proper tools and strategies to leverage that data, how good is it? Experity, a software solution for over 5,700 urgent care clinics in the U.S., announced their plan this week to move the needle toward a new model that would enhance data-driven business decisions. With the launch of Experity Business Intelligence (BI), urgent care workflows will be more streamlines ultimately increasing clinical efficiencies.

This new tool includes “pre-built clinical, operational, and financial dashboards designed specifically for urgent care. Access to a flexible self-service engine allows for custom dashboard creation on the industry-leading Tableau platform. The module’s metrics are easily accessible and eliminate barriers created by data expertise requirements, reducing the amount of time staff members spend in spreadsheets. With Experity BI you can quickly detect insights to improve staff performance and accountability resulting in improved business and patient outcomes.”

“Experity BI lets us drill down to find the source of an anomaly or a metric trending in the wrong direction,” said Ben Morris, CEO and president of RedMed Urgent Clinic. “We don’t have to run 12 reports and spend 10 hours. We can get the answer in minutes. To me, the key value of Experity BI is the ability to go deeper with less effort.”

While a platform transition of this magnitude might at first appear daunting and disruptive, the long- term impact would create efficiencies not only for urgent care staff, but also for the patients. They will have a more seamless check-in process, be seen faster by the practice, and have a more simplified billing process post-visit.

For discussion:

  • What do you think are the biggest benefits to using Experity BI, from both the urgent care and patient perspectives?
  • What challenges might urgent cares face with the adoption of the Experity BI platform?
