A Little Side of Clare!
Coming from a small town in Wallingford, Pennsylvania, Clare Perretta grew up right outside of the Philadelphia airport. Growing up an only child, her parents gave her a little bit more responsibility. “It was as I was a little adult” Clare said. “They didn’t talk to me as a little kid. At times, I would have adult type conversations.”
Clare worked hard in school and got good grades, and got accepted to many schools, but went to the last school on her list, The University of Pittsburgh. “My parents had told me, you can apply to any school you want, and if you get in that’s great, but you’re going to Pitt.” Although it wasn’t her first choice, a visit to campus changed her mind. “I absolutely ended up falling in love with the place” she said. “There was so much to do, I was in love with the city!”. Clare started to rave about her favorite places to visit like the Carnegie Museum of Art and Pamela’s for their “world famous” crape style strawberries with brown sugar and sour cream.
Clare since then has moved back to Wallingford, living in her childhood home. Working as a Senior Marketing Communication Specialist for Next Gen Health Care for the last four years, she has look to expand her role and take on more projects. “I’ve always been part of the technical side” Clare said. “I want to get more into the content and creation part of it. A lot has to come together to make a project work, but if you can write and tell a story, the project is going to be more successful.”
