Hard wiring the ethernet

While I would like to take credit for this, the only thing I can say is that I made good judgement call at the right time. When I was upgrading my wiring throughout my home, I asked the electrician if he could also hardwire, Cat 5e cable throughout my house. His perplexed look told me he had never done this before. He muttered underneath his breath, “why on Earth….”. I kind of chuckled and I told him to do it. Now each room has gigabit internal network speed and all the wires, routers, servers and switches are nestled away in my cool basement. I could not recommend this “upgrade” enough to any techie.
