What is your favorite Social Media network? Why?

Mine is Instagram! I prefer it both personally and professionally. Instagram’s User Experience is great, in my opinion but it also attracts the “scrolling effect” where you can continuously scroll through your feed or swipe through stories. I like it especially because of how video is becoming more important and valuable in the marketing and consumer world. Creating reels and IGTV is something I definitely

Which social network is the best to use for business?

In Sprout Social’s most recent Index Report, you can see that Facebook is still the platform where consumers follow brands the most, and Instagram comes in second.

I don’t use Facebook too much these days, but I know many adults older than 30 use it a lot more. Most people do have a Facebook account. The fact that Facebook owns Instagram also makes a lot of sense here. Instagram feels the least commercialized to me and primarily more about the actual content that is shared. The social advertisements are embedded into the application user experience so you don’t feel like you are being marketed to. It’s just part of the overall UX. There are many forms of content to be shared and the platform itself encourages engagement. Businesses can create reels, host an IG Live, post to their feed, produce an IGTV video, DM followers, and curate guides. As you can see, below, the reason why accounts should post each type of content. Testing out various content formats is a great way to see which type is going to give you the most engagement. Tips for Social Media Marketing and Channels

  • Creating a distinct content strategy is important.
  • DON’T use the same content on every social channel! Mix it up.
  • Include VIDEO as part of your content marketing strategy.
  • Stay consistent with posts or viewers will pay less attention or unfollow.
  • Don’t post too much! Consumers will unfollow you.

Do you keep your LinkedIn profile updated?

For LinkedIn I recommend keeping your headline updated and relevant to your greatest strengths! Ensure to maintain your positions, achievements, and skills on a monthly basis. Even if you don’t post on LinkedIn much, posting or sharing something a few times a year is worth it. I believe connections are one of the most important aspects to excelling in a business career field. Check out my LinkedIn to see how I showcase my professional achievements.
