Most of my life I wanted to do something with science. If you ever watched the show Dexter, I wanted to be just like Dexter Manning, a blood splatter analyst (not the killer part).
When I switched my major, I had no idea on what I wanted to do when I graduate. Now, with a couple of internships and classes under my belt, I would like to pursue a career as a business analyst and eventually a project manager. I want a career where I can interact with multiple people from different walks of life. I would like to be a bridge way between the client and IT specialist. To me, this translate to being a business analyst and then a project manager in the future.
I would like to work in a company whose culture is the number one priority. Culture, in my opinion, is what causes a company to be fun and interesting, and that is what I am looking for in a company. If one loves the company’s culture, then that person will want to stay longer and leave a larger impact for the company.
I am a huge sports fan, specifically basketball and football. I have lived in the Philadelphia area for most of my life, so I religiously follow the Eagles and 76ers. Other than sports, I am an avid reader. My favorite book is the Autobiography of Malcolm X by Malcolm X and Alex Haley. The latest book I finished reading was Michelle Obama’s autobiography, Becoming.
Due to the pandemic that’s been plaguing the world, many companies have halted on hiring. So, I started to understand stocks and the market so I can make money on the side until the job market goes back to normal. I also have been learning Python and Tableau, although neither are near a professional level.
