I absolutely love bringing up the topic of piracy because I think it’s happening in different forms now- like account sharing. But what’s interesting is there are so many shows and movies because of the competitions between streaming services that are difficult to find….unless you illegally download them. I think you’re right- this number may…[Read more]

Super interesting thought for me as I work in the mall retail corporate space right now. We are seeing similar trends of younger consumers being reported as not spending- however, we are seeing them in our traffic numbers and spend numbers still showing up to our malls. I think the planning portion is absolutely true, but with those strategic gift…[Read more]

I think they’re trying to push them too closely together. They’re trying to make them operate as one entity when they are so so different. You’re right- if the younger users catch on, there’s a chance they will leave the other apps the same way they abandoned Facebook. Should be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few years.

I think about how I should have become a Youtube star years ago, haha. But it’s crazy even when you look at the teenage generation and who they look up to- it’s Youtubers like Liza and (unfortunately) Logan Paul. There is a total shift in influencers happening and I think the focus on microinfluencers is more important than ever now.

It’s time to be honest about memes- they aren’t for everyone.
And if you don’t know how to use them, you definitely shouldn’t.
Here’s the thing- memes in business advertising should be used with extreme c […]

I spend a lot of time on Youtube.
I’ve been watching Youtube videos and following influencers on Youtube for a long time. Think: John Green, Shane Dawson, Jenna Marbles, Smosh. It was the first generation of […]

I spend most of my day on Spotify.
It starts when I wake up in the morning and need some jams to get my day started. It continues as I walk to work and then switches over from phone to laptop once I get to my […]

Maybe Michael Myers will show up at your front door if you do.
In class tonight, I mentioned how the Halloween reboot has been promoting based on location.
On Instagram, I saw an Instagram sponsored post for […]

Loved these videos! Parody is so tricky and I agree with what you mentioned about making sure the parody is positive – it completely makes a difference. But in cases like Gangnam Style, even keeping it positive can reinforce cultural stereotypes. I think there’s a fine line between poking fun at yourself and being careful to not hurt a bigger…[Read more]

I worked in B2B email specifically for a few years. What I found is that the email inbox for business accounts is becoming more and more saturated. To keep up with this, emails must be highly personalized. The 5% of emails that you might not ignore tend to be those that are addressed specifically toward a person. And at the end of the day, the…[Read more]

But email is actually difficult. It’s […]

I think that if they had defined things a bit differently, they might have gotten closer to having France as the answer. It seems like they focused too heavily and put weight in one thing (players stats vs. skill level). Tying this back to the Watson case, there were many different variables that needed to be at play in order to get an answer…[Read more]

This was actually a great breakdown. A lot of the time I find that it’s easy to get swept up in projects and tasks and the differences between the two. When it’s clear what the actual project is, it becomes easier to organize the tasks underneath it. Will definitely be using this thinking to breakdown future endeavors!
