Great post Crystal.
It’s an interesting argument. While I think government officials should not have access to my personal information, law enforcement brings up a grey area. It’s important to find suspects of the serious crimes quickly – and not having to get a subpoena would definitely speed up this process. However, subpoenas don’t…[Read more]

Great post! While I think this can be very detrimental to certain advertisers, I really like this idea. I like to know who is behind certain ads as I do usually exercise my own purchasing power especially when it comes to politics. It may even make me support certain products that I might not have otherwise. Good find.

I feel like social media is the cornerstone of all social interaction. It’s already been shown to impact our elections through “fake news” and foreign interference through ad purchases. Social help brings like-minded people together, which mostly is a good thing. On the flip side, it can also aid terrorism, fake news, racism, and foreign…[Read more]

Super interesting. It makes me think about my own purchasing power – which I exercise often. While I don’t believe in their political agenda, and I would never shop here because of their beliefs – I would and do, spend my money at places that I know have the same political agenda as myself. It’s definitely an interesting concept. It would be…[Read more]

I’m split on this concept. I would argue that these content creators are paid – they get paid by getting free access to a platform that costs money to upkeep. The flip side is that it wouldn’t be the business it is today without the interaction of its users. These platforms can also help a freelancer land that next job, or even a job where…[Read more]
