This is incredible! It is really nice to see brands put positive energy out into the world. As a company you have the power to control the narrative and how your audience perceives you. I think its wonderful when companies set the tone like this.

Excellent point Amelia. I think having information like this is really impactful when you are creating content for your audience. What I think is the most difficult is putting systems in place that support the integration of this data into workflows.

Excellent question! While my company has never done any formal testing, I find that it is a best practice to put the link within the provided text box. And I have read that why this tactic is successful is that it makes finding the link easy and convenient for a user. Who would have thought!

Just read about this! I just don’t get it. I’d really like to see a demo and understand their thinking on why they think this is relevant or desirable to their audience. I feel like innovation and creativity are essential when making products, but it has to add value or solve a problem…I’m not exactly sure what making it foldable is doing to…[Read more]

Great Post!
Caroline, I feel like when a company wants to add a new feature to a device, it comes down to how it will make the user experience better. What purpose does this innovation serve? What problem does it solve? Is this a feature customers have requested? That being, said I just don’t unstained the purpose or relevance of this new…[Read more]

Excellent post! Actually, out of any of the roles that I have held in marketing, not one single company has used voting in any cross promotional sense. I think it’s awesome that the brands that you have listed above have and that they have done so tactful.

So, when Snapchat first came out I feel right into their age demographic and honestly even then I never used it. I just have found it to be a poor user experience and that has been what has always kept me away. That being said, if they improved it I would definitely consider downloading the app again now that I fall within their new target…[Read more]

Hi Amelia,
Excellent post and good questions! So, I definitely have purchased from influences before. I used to feel skeptical of “Influencer Marketing,” because I felt like people where more interested in marking money off a partnership from a brand then really understanding/liking a product to be able to communicate authentically why they…[Read more]

Emily,
This is an excellent post! Wow, I’m really surprised that you found information promoting PWA’s a positive shift for retail and how they will incorporate mobile marketing into their overall marketing plan. Since my team MobiVet’s project is heavily focused on mobile use we considered a PWA, but a lot of information that we found…[Read more]

Molly,
Great post! It’s incredible how fluid and fast marketing can be. For me personally, I think AR/VR would benefit my company the most. I can see limitless possibilities in how we could incorporate how we market properties to potential buyers and I feel like it would be a huge draw for those looking to optimize promotion of their listings…[Read more]

Christine,
Thanks for sharing! So, I don’t think Content Marketing has “jumped the shark so to speak.” I just think that a lot of companies that I encounter use it ineffectively. For example: every piece of content is promotion based and their is no “value add,” for a customer. That’s normally when I hit unsubscribe. If you can’t give me a tip,…[Read more]

Excellent post, Emily! I’m a HUGE Jenna Kutcher fan. I feel like she makes her content so relatable and authentic. I can always recognize her “brand,”, but I never feel “sold too.” She definitely is someone to take a cue from and I like how to identified some of her most successful strategies in this post.

Shannon,
This is so neat! Sadly, I have not seen these promotions in my feed, but I think that this is a simply, yet effective tough to personalize a product to give a potential viewer a sense of ownership and hopefully inspire them to see the movie. Thanks for sharing!

Awesome post! Yes, my company does use emoji’s throughout social media, not just social ads. But we do it on a case by case (more like post by post) basis if its relevant to the content we are posting.

Thanks for sharing this, Jen!
While I didn’t get a chance to watch his new ad with Nespresso, I think it’s cool that he is promoting an honest narrative that is on taking accountability. I think brands always set-up themselves up for success when they take this approach. -

Michelle,
Great and informative post! So, I have mixed feelings about it. I love social media (its my day job) but I’m not always for forgoing a traditional viewing experience (TV) for a mobile experience. I think its a interesting way to make your viewing experience a more interactive one, but I fear what it might mean for out attention span…[Read more]

Wonderful post, Collene! I like that you analyzed the patterns of the content that you are consuming regularly. I feel like for everyone what you gravitate towards is always a reflection of where you are in your life. Super neat!
