There is such a fine line with using Snapchat as an advertising tool. For so long Snapchat was pure user bliss, just photos being shared between friends, no filters or geo-tags or even stories! It was just a tool to quickly share a photo. Now we use geo-filters based on location or events, filters to make our face look like the newest movie…[Read more]

Your title reeled me in @Keaton-Batten. I think the Apple ecosystem holds many of us hostage from switching. In addition, I find that Google has a commitment issue….Glass, G+, i Google, Labs, etc…as I am only scratching the service. All that said, you do reveal a sweet price point. 🙂

Interesting points Steve and Keaton. I think that because virtual reality has so much hype surrounding it and because content is being created for the medium, VR is different than Google Glass, Google +, ect. However, Steve, I think you have a point with the Apple ecosystem. Additionally, I think that Apple phones will need to feature something new and shiny soon and that this could be the perfect solution. In conclusion, I think Apple will feature some form of VR on their next phone model. We will see what happens! 🙂

This campaign definitely showed how powerful social media can be. The simplicity of having a few props, coffee cups and sleeves combined with a strong brand, tech savvy consumers and a hashtag created a perfect campaign. Gilmore Girls has been off screen for almost 10 years yet they had coffee shops throughout the country full of lines. This could…[Read more]

I almost think that good content marketing should be brand journalism and brand journalism should never loose site of what the company is selling. You want your content to tell a story and entice your consumers to do something else. That may be to make a purchase, or read another piece, or visit your site/social platforms. Companies should no…[Read more]

Interesting post @keaton-batten. I think FB wants to do everything possible to make that ad appear as content on users’ feeds and I want to do everything possible to ignore it. Must I choose? haha

Awesome post Keaton. I actually think that muted ads are pretty cool and it’s something different. I think that the muted video has to be 100% on point, in order to grab someones attention. Advertisers have to work extra hard to come up with something unique, that is able to entertain and market that product without the sound. But I actually like ads with sound better. I feel like the sound of the video can market a product better. When you watch an ad with sound and the person in the add is talking about that product with passion in their voice, they really have the power to persuade you, to buy that product and grab your attention. Words have power and so do sound affects along with all the visuals.

Interesting post, @Keaton-batten This is the first I have heard of Project Fi. The pros are that Google is for sure one of my favorite brands. The negative is that I have all Apple Devices and I enjoy the syncing of all my content across devices a lot. It saves me a lot of time and repetitive tasks over the work week.
With the new iOS, I can also start a chat via iMessage on my iMac or MacBook and finish it later on my iPhone. I think I would be willing to give it a go as long as I didn’t have to make a long-term commitment. Fear of commitment (to Project Fi)? Yes, ma’am.

Great post Keaton! Thank you for sharing. This is really cool. When I travel to my country to see my family, I hate that I have to pay expensive international fees. I have never heard of Project Fi but I must say that google is amazing and they always come up with something very unique.
Although I have had an iPhone for years, I would definitely be willing to give up my iPhone and try Nexus. Google is a great company, so I’m very curious to see what other unique things this Nexus phone can do. Plus it would be awesome not having to pay these expensive international fees every time I go over sees to visit my family.
