This is a fantastic post, James! I am one of those see it in the theater and then 4 times on Disney + people. And while King George is a favorite of mine – it is indicative of your point. I may not favor what he stands for but he brings humor to scenes that may otherwise be dark. And my point might be lost on the favorite of others if they merely…[Read more]

So smart Sara – I was just talking to someone about the mess of the Real IDs (this was before COVID hit). Can’t imagine that’s going to be a fun process. Plus, who likes going to the DMV under regular circumstances, let alone during a pandemic. This is a process that is ripe for an overhaul. Awesome!!!!!!

Excellent post, Sara! This is such a hot topic right now. I saw an interview on MSNBC with some Professors from NYU talking about how COVID will affect higher education. The problem is even more compounded if we have to go into lockdown again in the Fall. Do students move into dorms and then leave again? Will they just decide to take a gap…[Read more]

This is a great post, Jen. It resonates with my experience in Advertising where we begin every client relationship with research. In fact, it’s obvious the correlation between sales and campaign success to the amount of effective research done before. Because of this, I am always in the camp of having research precede all action. But after we…[Read more]

Thanks, Erin. Your post is awesome, Great find! Think about the possibilities if CVS added that driverless technology delivery with the in-store chatbot efficiency. That just might solve all of their problems and be very cool. Thanks so much for commenting ๐

Jill this is a great post! I find scuba-diving fascinating, in the sense that I would be too frightened to do it but pretty soon the only unchartered frontier on this earth will be underwater. Just like my interest in tall mountains I’ll never climb like Everest, I still enjoy reading about adventures in scuba diving. And I am intrigued by the…[Read more]

I love this idea! I wish I thought of it for my case study. Also, wish they would implement that soon! I use CVS and I feel bad for bothering the pharmacist for simple housekeeping questions I bet a chatbot could solve, Very excited how technology will improve with CVS in the future, especially since they are looking into self-driving delivery systems which you can learn about in my article here: https://digitalmarketing.temple.edu/2020summermis5102/2020/06/08/self-driving-vehicles-delivering-for-cvs-pharmacy/#comment-15

This is such a good post and an excellent question. I think the fact that everyone staying home may increase the chances of using the free preview. And, according to Mintel (Digital Video June 2019), people by far are using their phones for streaming above any other device. The only catch is that the video being streamed is designated as free.…[Read more]

*Since most elementary schools have the same types of entrance tests for kindergarteners, there is no reason not to have some of the curricula centralized.

Great post! It is an unbelievable expense to have kids in childcare. I know a few friends who had to work basically just for the benefits for their family with all of the income (for one partner) going straight to childcare. It’s like mortgage even with 2 kids. I agree the field is ripe for innovation. And since most elementary schools have the…[Read more]

Hi Katherine, great post as always. I noticed our topics of choice share a lot commonalities with how process innovation upfront helps complex businesses like pharmaceuticals improve their business models in the long run. Running a highly regulated business naturally creates a lot of risk and one way to hedge some of that risk is improve the processes up front as much as possible. Also processes can also be patent protected in the industry which can give a competitor a huge edge in vaccine creation or hinder a competitors edge in getting it into market.
Interesting post Katie! The critical path methodology is quite literally perfect for the current situation the medical world faces with this pandemic. I wonder what other sectors of the medical field will adopt this approach to handle to oncoming waves as we head into cold and flu season. Will this methodology be used in triage in ERs as the colder weather falls upon us?
