@tuj88620 You brought up an interesting point in tonight’s meetup about companies that offer customers the option to pick up their purchases at a local store. My company rolled out a test in one particular area that offered this option. It not only increased sales conversion and overall order volume, but the take rates were a lot higher than we initially expected. In addition to that, once the customers came to pick up their purchases, the upsell opportunity by Sales Reps in the brick-and-mortar stores was around 10%. Would love to discuss more if you’re interested!
Hi! Yes, I’d love to learn more. Most of my experience in ecommerce has been direct to consumer, no brick and mortar stores. As a consumer, I like to experience the ecommerce process. I shop a lot from Walmart, they’re the only option in my small town, but I’ve done both site to store and home delivery and have followed there ecommerce journey over the last several years, playing keep up to Amazon for a few years and now they’re meeting and or exceeding Amazon in some ares. Walmart is now my go to for shopping; convenience of the store and comparable shipping options for similar goods. I do use Amazon, but more for those harder to find items. Please keep me updated on the progress, I’d love to see where you’re at in 6 months if you’re still seeing these great results.
