Cancel Culture: brands today have either been hit head on with it or at the very least narrowly missed a collision with it. One way or another brands today are aware of this public shaming social media trend where […]

The traditional advertising model focuses on three stages. The first touchpoint, the stimulus, is typically a form of direct marketing (i.e. TV Ad) that broadcasts the brand message to as many people as possible. […]

A very fitting example of how mobile technology changed how content is consumed and measured. This partnership between Waze and McDonalds unlocks accessing customers that were once deemed in the “digital dark zone”. Previously brands didn’t really have a way of communicating with commuters on their drive (besides audio) until recently.

I agree that this was such a well-executed nation-wide event. I recall finding out about this via a social media post from a friend. It was a link to an article explaining the event and the release of the new season with a list of the cities/shops that would be converted for the day. Luckily there was one in Seattle!
I attempted to visit one of…[Read more]

I just checked out the Sonos twitter post you mentioned and can see why that campaign was a success. I permanently have my phone on silent, so subtitles are a huge win in my book. Also, I loved how they have a background graphic that grooves with the music – I can tell even without my sound on that it’s related to the song on. A 15 second vid…[Read more]

Bringing some diversity to the group by living in Seattle I can say I am an Alaska Airline credit card holder and can speak to their #1 in experience, ha! Tl;dr I used to be like Greg, now I am like Jeremy!
Similar to Greg I was super hesitant to willingly let Apple have access to my data. For the longest time I would not use fingerprint ID, save passwords, save credit card #s on safari, or utilize apply pay with the fear of letting one organization have all of my info. Then slowly but surely the…[Read more]

Similar to Karen my bank also has Zelle. I find that I weirdly use both for the same primary functions (transferring money to others), but they have slight variations. I only use Zelle on my primary bank account. I transfer funds directly to my SO monthly for mortgage. Since we are both approved friends with one another, the transaction goes…[Read more]

Elaina, I am right there with you in that I prefer the amazon.com experience vs using their apps. Similarly, I agree the key driver is having everything in one place/ being able to use all functions without limitations. I’ll share a story of how the lack of full access moved me from an app to the full website:
The other night while in bed I d…[Read more]
