It’s awesome that you’ve managed to take a personal interest and turn it into a great way to interact with other classmates through the Temple University Esports Club Discord. Have you ever thought of crossing over your love of gaming with the design degree? Or, is that something you’re planning to do with the new marketing skills you’ll be developing?
Most importantly, best KBBQ place in Philadelphia? I stumbled across Korean Grill House after not making it to a local H-Mart in time to do some shopping. Have you been?

I actually wanted to be a character designer for games back when I was in highschool- but my parents kind of pushed me to pick all the STEM-related classes for electives instead of any art classes so I kind of felt like it was a bit too late, plus later I learned how tough the game industry is on its artists and that I’d probably end up hating illustration if I pursued it as a career. My boyfriend’s working as a marketing intern for Nerd St Gamers, and they’re in charge of a lot of Esports events in the Philadelphia area so who knows- maybe one day I’ll work with him on something.
(My favorite KBBQ place is Kpot, there’s one in Oregon Ave. and it’s all you can eat. I haven’t went to Korean Grill House but I have been to H-Mart a bunch, it’s pretty cool.)

In my undergrad we were taught that the best way to constantly be creative and make new concepts is to go outside and explore/experience new things. I really think that exploring different forms of art (and anything, really) pushes a person to have more of an open mind when it comes to “ideas”. Also fun fact, my favorite musicals are Heathers and Six.
I think the Temple Esports club is always interested in collaborating with clubs- and honestly there’s a million different things that can be done regardless of how different the club interests are so maybe they’ll hit each other up sometime!
