Hey Cindy!
This is a really great post on an interesting topic. Location-based marketing has become a popular marketing strategy with all the growing opportunities. But can some of its inaccuracies be because some consumers aren’t willing to share their data with brands also? As a consumer, I’ll admit that I am one to quickly decline brands’…[Read more] -

Eight letters. Urban jargon. And Black Twitter.
Those were the ingredients that made the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich a viral sensation on August 19. Just days after its debut to the world.
“We had a whole […]

Great article, Danielle.
Totally agree – it can be very difficult to excel with both LinkedIn and Twitter, as their audiences are so diverse. ESPN even goes one step beyond, and manages to marry the two. Their social strategy is so cohesive and informative that it almost replaces the need to pay attention to their core channel – television. They’re very agile and push-out in real time, which can be difficult for many companies but suits their company and industry extremely well.
As for Fenty, I am less familiar with the brand – or thought I was until seeing that Rihanna has been at the forefront of their efforts. I can really appreciate their “all-inclusive” attitude, and successfully manage to hit various audiences through the use of LinkedIn and Twitter uniquely. They are also utilizing Influencers heavily, something that we have discussed in class as a relevant, up-and-coming trend. With being launched only a few years ago, I am excited to see how this company progresses.
Clearly, both have managed to hit their target CUSTOMERS so far.

Nate, this was a great post! Like you, I travel a lot between work and just leisure purposes. And for me, NO ONE else compares to American Airlines. I may have had one bad trip or two, but I still keep coming back because my overall experiences have definitely have outweighed those two. But I think the mobile experience has really has the biggest…[Read more]

Sarah – I am not familiar with either brands, but after watching the “The Mirnavator,” I would most definitely choose them over Dick’s Sporting Goods. As you mentioned earlier, I believe brands are now figuring out that the key to engagement now is emotional appeal. That is how you sell a product/service today. People want to be able to relate…[Read more]

Cliff, this is a great post!
As I was reading and you mentioned Nike and controversy, all I could think of was their relationship and different responses during controversy with athletes such as Antonio Brown, Serena Williams, and Colin Kaepernick. Following the Antonio Brown saga for the past few weeks has been a whirlwind. But the events this…[Read more]

I love MeterUP for its convenience as I fall into that category of millennials that don’t carry cash. But I also love MeterUP because it works in other cities such as DC when I’m parking for a quick trip into the city. The app adapts to my location and boom. I can go on about my day without having to worry about a…[Read more]

Hey Christine! I loved your post. In my organization, I would say Design Thinking is more of an activity. As a group of video producers, motion graphic designers and designers, we sit at a table and brainstorm an idea to then bounce off one another.
