Brianna, great job explaining all of the marketing tactics available via the geo location capabilities in our smart devices. So many consumers are completely unaware of tactics such as geo fencing and beacons. It’s such powerful info for a brand but I wonder how many people will be willing to give up such personal info and honestly, (because sometimes I do the same thing) how many people have no clue that they agreed to turn on location services and this is all happening in the background of their phone without them even knowing it. I wonder if down the road, due to privacy laws, if brands will have to post alerts that pop up on your phone when they are using location services on someone’s phone.
