Hi Brianna, thank you for sharing. I feel the same with apps. I do a lot of online shopping and I find this is sometimes easier to do through an app. My phone is always in close proximity which makes it easy to reach for it go to my frequently used app, past orders, and reorder items I have purchased before. I am an iPhone user and most of my apps allow me to sign in with my thumb print and purchase with Apple Pay which requires another thumb print read. (Yes, I am one of those people who uses their thumb print for everything).
I’ve noticed that my electric company has a horrible responsive design so I have to log in to their website from my computer if I need to check on anything with my account. Paying a bill is never an enjoyable experience, but it could be more enjoyable if the responsiveness wasn’t so bad. I have tried downloading their app but that is an even less enjoyable experience.

It’s always a good idea to re-evaluate products you use. You may settle for usability flaws, when there is a competitive product with better usability. Which elements of design best increase the usability depends on the technology type. For an app, like the one you mentioned, it seems consistency affects the user experience significantly. Good…[Read more]

I see that the 5 Whys and Root Cause Analysis have so many similarities that they are nearly synonymous. The process helps you use logic and momentarily rid of emotion.
