A big day tomorrow for flash lovers. A nice article about Google Chrome implementing their ban on flash ads. I was surprised to learn that 90% of rich media is still run on flash. I would have assumed with iPhones not utilizing flash that this number would have been much lower.

I’m so with you Braden. I thought sites featuring flash so heavily would have disappeared much quicker than they have. Thanks for sharing. I’m interested to see how this changes the game.
Agreed – I’m always shocked in typical browsing session how often Firefox asks me to ‘allow’ the use of Flash and the performance issues that ensue when I invariably don’t… iOS’ move to strictly HTML5 seems so long ago, I wonder why Google is just making this change now.
Braden – thanks for sharing this. I try to push using Chrome to all of my clients who are stuck in the age of IE and Safari. I love this implementation.
