Hi everyone! Hope your summers are going well! I wanted to alert you all to some possible part time work that might be of interest to you, if you are looking for something on the side – or looking to enhance your resume! The Temple News is seeking an innovative student to re-think, re-structure and manage The Temple New’s site starting ASAP. This is a well-paid position for this academic year, but we need to start now. It will require between 5-10 hours per week (sometimes more for projects, sometimes less) Most work can be done remotely but there are times we’ll need the manager in our office for collaboration.

We’d need someone comfortable with using and maintaining our website, which runs on WordPress with several added features. An applicant would help us create and design new web features like live updates; annotated transcriptions of speeches; multimedia longform content that harks back to Snow Fall; and the look and feel of our homepage.

We also want to make more interactive graphics this year, which can be as simple as using Ai2Html to have highlighted text. But there are more complex interactives, like this, that we couldn’t do ourselves.
