SEO and the curse of Single Page Sites

April 17, 2022 By Montrease Cottle 1 Comment

Single page sites are a clear example of style versus functionality. They are very visually pleasing and maybe even more user friendly than multi-paged sites, but when it comes to SEO and keyword searching, they lack the ability to be effective. Multi-paged sites allow for a range of different keywords and categories, that is not true for single paged sites as they have one main category that encompasses all of their data. In order to gain more new customers and make landing on the first page of Google results, companies and organizations would do better to aim for multi-paged sites. Though the styling may be an issue at first, there are ways to make a website aesthetically clean and not too simplistic. Making single page sites works for some companies, but in the grand scheme, it’s simplistic nature counts a company out of the SEO web and Google search competition.
