The days have blended together in a way they never have for me. It’s hard to distinguish them sometimes, even though I’m working and constantly looking at my calendar. That’s one of the reasons it was so vital for me to actually take vacation. In years past, I’ve not prioritized time away; much to my detriment. I had started to inch closer and closer toward work-life balance and then the world changed forever. Suddenly I had no commute, I got more laundry done than ever, and I have learned way more about the flora and fauna of my backyard than I’d ever dreamed. But with lines blurred between work time and down time, taking vacation — and truly unplugging — has become incredibly valuable.
