Work Experience

Freewheel, A Comcast Company

I currently work at Freewheel as a Sr. Data Operations Manager. Freewheel is the go-to ad-serving platform for most of the TV programming networks that stream across all screens. Freewheel “empowers all segments of The New TV Ecosystem”. The company was acquired by Comcast 4 years ago. I’ve been working at Comcast for less than a year. I am working with so many smart people, my department, the Data Business Unit, services the data requests for most of the groups across the company. Here is the link to the Freewheel website.

Fandor

Fandor is a San Francisco based over the top streaming media start-up company. I was Director of Advertising and Content Operations. I oversaw operations for content streaming, quality control, advertising, and customer support. I was the main point of contact coordinating the video deliverables from movie studios and outside streaming vendors such as Roku, CenturyLink, & Amazon Fire TV. The experience I gained at Fandor exposed me to the Entertainment industry first hand. I also gained experience in the QA of video assets, as well as digital asset management systemThis job immersed me into the world of over the top and connected TV. Here is the link to the Fandor website.

Blavity Inc.

Blavity is a Los Angeles based start-up venture-funded technology and new media online content publisher. Their mission is to change the landscape of media representation by building the world’s largest digital community for Black Millennials with an average 1 Million monthly unique visitors, generating 7-10 Million monthly social impressions. I was Director of Advertising and Revenue Operations overseeing the ad ops teams for display, video, search, mobile, and programmatic direct deals. I managed (3) ad operations managers servicing all Blavity Inc. properties (Blavity.com, 21Ninety.com, Shadowandact.com, and WatchtheYard.com). During my time at Blavity I truly experienced the “roll your sleeves up” and “jack of all trades” start-up cultural. Here are the links below to the Blavity properties. Blavity, 21Ninety, WatchTheYard, ShadowandAct.

Complex Networks

Complex Networks is a global lifestyle brand and media company and one of the most influential voices in popular culture today. Complex Networks generates over 1.2 billion video views a month across its digital channels and is a Top 10 publisher in the U.S. for social engagement on channels like Facebook and YouTube. During my time at Complex I was the Director of Ad Operations for the Los Angeles office. I managed a team (9) Senior/Junior level Account Managers, Ad Traffickers, & Ad Ops Managers. At Complex I learned a lot about leadership. Here is the link to the Complex website.

Fuisz Video

Fuisz was a Santa Monica based venture-funded start-up video ad serving company with patented technology that automatically tracks, identifies, and itemizes any object in a video. I was Sr. Director of Ad Operations, Production & Quality Assurance. This was my first experience at a start-up company. Although it was a gamble, I learned that in some circumstances, in order to ascend to the next level (in my case to Director), you have to leave a big company and go to a start-up. Fuisz video went out of business in 2017.

 PointRoll

PointRoll was acquired by Sizmek in 2015 from Gannett, the company is headquartered in King of Prussia PA. Pointroll was a pioneer in rich media digital ad serving, creating campaigns for advertisers and agencies around the world with the most cutting-edge technology to engage audiences across any screen. I started my career at Pointroll in 2007 as a junior campaign manager. I was promoted several times and held multiple positions over my 7 year tenure at the company. In 2012 they asked me to relocate to Los Angeles to be the client services lead for the digital strategy, ad operations, execution, and management of the Volkswagen account in conjunction with Deutsch, VW’s global creative advertising agency. After 2 years, I moved on to manage some of PointRoll’s top revenue accounts (Apple, Jaguar, and Showtime Entertainment). In 2015 I resigned to pursue a new opportunities. PointRoll was the greatest company ever to start my career. I learned so much and worked with so many brilliant, determined and kind people, a lot them who I am still very good friends with to this day. Here is the link to the Sizmek website.
