Work Experience

I spent the first six years of my career at Bread & Butter, a hospitality PR and digital media agency. Upon graduating from USC in 2014, I was hired as an assistant account executive and quickly rose through the ranks with three promotions to account supervisor, a senior-level manager position. I led PR accounts for iconic LA bars/restaurants, chef personalities, F&B products, boutique hotels and global brands including Marriott International. See below for a snapshot of my job responsibilities and skills attained during this career chapter.

Media Relations: Pitched compelling brand stories to secure widespread press coverage—brand profiles, interviews, best-of lists, trend pieces, timely news mentions—across print, digital and broadcast media. My clients were consistently featured in The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, Travel + Leisure, NPR, Forbes, Condé Nast Traveler, Food & Wine, Tastemade, BuzzFeed, CBS This Morning, The Hollywood Reporter and more.

Viral Promotions: Brainstormed and promoted timely, business-driving activations for my clients, ranging from clever holiday hotel packages to viral menu items including the world’s first taco donut, as seen on Food Network, The Hallmark Channel, Foodbeast, Refinery29, INSIDER and Rachael Ray Every Day (to name a few).

Event Coordination: Facilitated client involvement in festivals such as Los Angeles Food & Wine, Cochon555 and WestEdge Design Fair as well as culinary popups at Hearst Tower, Twitter Headquarters and Tastemade Studios.

Client and Employee Management: Managed up to three account teams and a diverse portfolio of 10-15 clients, ranging from large corporate entities to small “mom-and-pop” venues.

Strategy: Created in-depth communications plans outlining brand analysis, strategy and tactics to achieve clients’ marketing goals.

New Business: Pursued new business leads by reaching out to potential clients, creating proposals and delivering presentations.

Brand Building: Established key messaging and wrote press kit materials (press releases, bios, fact sheets, website copy, etc.)
