Featured Work: Course Guide
Overview:
For Temple University’s Continuing Education program, The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, the following course guides below are published by the thousands city-wide and also posted on our website, which I maintain and update. These course guides provide the sole marketing material for recruitment of memberships for our organization.
I am responsible for its complete production from start to finish.
This project begins with receiving incoming course proposals and instructor biographies from the prospective faculty. After this content is established and reviewed by a curriculum committee, it is then transferred to me to handle its complete development and design until it is printed and published on the web. This encompasses a range of duties including proofreading, scheduling, creating a balanced curriculum, selecting cover artwork, and finally (my favorite part), designing the catalog. Prior to my joining the organization, this work was outsourced to a 3rd party contractor who charged an exuberant amount for its production. With my addition to the team, I have taken on this responsibility myself utilizing my background in graphic design.
