“A hobby a day keeps the doldrums away”

Fitness Training:
Last November, I ran my first half marathon. I never dreamed that I could do it, but I did! The efforts leading up the event and the accomplishment that was felt afterwards was indescribable. While runs are a collective gathering, the main competitors are you against yourself, making it both thrilling and challenging. I can’t wait to get involved with more fitness training activities!
Museums:
I love going to museums. There’s just something powerful about being in a place where history and material co-exist both as physical and non-physical elements. In a way, to me, it’s much more engaging and interactive than typical classroom learning. My favorite museums to visit include modern and contemporary art as well as memorial and architectural sites.
Canine:
I am an avid dog lover. Raising a puppy into adulthood has taught me a lot about discipline and patience. The affection and loyalty that dogs provide remind us everyday to be optimistic and appreciative. The rewards surely trump all the hard work and mishaps that are endured along the way.
Coffee:
I was a barista during my entire undergraduate studies. I loved it! From lattes and cappuccinos to pour overs and french press, I am a huge fan of the bean. In fact, I hope to work one day in the market segment of supporting coffee farmers and fair-trade products.
