So far, I have been to Spain, France, Ireland, Italy (3 times!), the Netherlands, Greece, and London.
My time in Italy was the longest I have spent in another country. The summer after my freshman year at Temple, I studied abroad in Rome, Italy. I was able to return for a brief period of time during my junior year to show my sister around, since she was studying abroad in London and I then went back in 2019, during my Digital Innovation in Master’s program, where I was able to participate in Consumer Buying and Behavior to earn a certificate and travel to companies such as Alitalia, Nestle, Publicis Media and more!
One of the reasons I love traveling is because I love being able to see so many historically significant places.
I document my travels by taking pictures of the scenery, as well as purchasing artwork created by local artists. By traveling to these different countries, I had the unique experience of being able to compare and contrast the different people, foods, and customs I encountered, which enabled me to gain a more global perspective that has benefited me as I grow both professionally and personally.
I also have a huge sweet tooth, which means that whenever I visit a new place, I immediately zero in on the different deserts and candy!
My favorites so far have been the gelato from Italy and the molten lava cake from Ireland!
Below is a video I created advocating study abroad and detailing my experiences for one of my classes during the DIM program!
