MS Digital Innovation in Marketing, Fox School of Business, Temple University
My name is Emily Broxton and I am a Digital Innovation in Marketing master’s student in the Fox School of Business at Temple University. I also did my undergraduate studies at Temple University in Philadelphia, majoring in Psychology. After graduating with my bachelor’s degree, I made my way across the country to where I now live, in the Greater Los Angeles area of Southern California. I spent the two years between my degrees in the service industry as a bartender and server, which introduced me to the marketing field. It was through those experiences that I realized my passion for digital marketing.
After beginning my master’s at Temple, I was introduced to a business owner who gave me an internship opportunity in influencer marketing at Dastmalchi in Newport Beach — home of several beauty, wellness, and lifestyle brands, including Vanity Planet. Over the term of my master’s program, this internship blossomed into a full-time opportunity as an account manager in influencer marketing. I now oversee hundreds of influencer relationships with Dastmalchi’s brands, and provide creative marketing insight to help our influencers create the most effective content. I look forward to using these skills, combined with my education in the Fox School of Business and passion for this field, to further my career in digital marketing.
