I am passionate about learning more about customer engagement, innovation, and creating better experiences. One of the classes I am most interested in taking is our UX/UI class in the Summer. I like to spend my time learning how marketing organizations across the country are creating new experiences for their customers and changing how we interact with brands. Whether it be digital or a physical in-store experience, brands are constantly evolving and having to innovate in order to stay relevant today.
With my background in corporate marketing, I am also interested in the overarching business and marketing strategy. Being able to see the full picture and execute projects against this vision is a key quality in a successful marketer.
Outside of my full-time job, I work at a non-profit foundation called No More Kids with Cancer. The organization raises awareness and funds for new treatments for childhood cancer. The foundation is based outside of Philadelphia, and I help with marketing communications, events, and social media. Last year, the foundation launched the Mustard Challenge, a viral social media campaign designed to raise awareness for childhood cancer research, inspired by the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The challenge was featured on the Today Show and in more than 40 different news outlets and garnered significant national participation.
In my free time, I like to play field hockey, exercise, and spend time with my family and friends. On the weekends, my husband and I enjoy biking on the Schuylkill River Trail and visiting new restaurants and craft breweries. Tired Hands is currently our favorite! I am always impressed by the creativity of each can.
Right now, I am most excited about watching football and rooting for the 2017 World Champions – THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES!!!
