  • Background:
    • Introduction with Linda; team discussed project background/progress
    • Team chatted through next round of deliverables as well as our roles + responsibilities
  • Linda’s Preferences:
    • Linda open to reviewing documents and meeting with our subteams on specific projects
    • Linda is most responsive on email
    • Prefers to meet Mon-Thurs
    • As a note, Linda is traveling Oct 1-15; between Oct 3-6 she will definitely be unavailable but can be flexible the rest of the days
  • Features to Consider for the Platform:
    • Scalability – campuses vs. city-wide, etc.
    • Food trucks can list on the app for free listing and then can pay for a TBD premium experience on the app
    • Consider concerns with sanitation standards; could influence what gets people on the app
    • Consider building in notifications/alerts for when trucks move, menu item runs out, etc.
    • Services for food truck festivals;
    • Use for campus recruiting; curated itineraries such as a culinary tour of Temple or Parents Weekend and tailgating guides
  • Additional Feedback:
    • Franchised trucks many find advantage and convenience in using the app and building a loyal following that way
    • Use app to support small business owners in the community (appeals to Gen Z and Millennial audiences)
      • Can develop a value proposition for the food truck owner, but user persona not necessary
    • Consider proof of concept and  operating structure – CEO, CFO, CCO, etc.
      • PMFA could be a potential partner/council
    • Consider branding the app as cultural and cool; integrate a social media/TikTok component
  • Potential Resources:
  • Next Steps:
    • Linda connecting us with former food truck owner (her cousin) for us to interview as an expert and gain insight from
    • Team building out a survey for students and food trucks on campus
    • Team to consider how we will make revenue through the platform; figure out the experience we want the user to have and how we can fund it and consider a plan with longevity
    • Charge fee for trucks to be on the app?
    • Offer a premium experience in addition to a free model?
    • What fees do other mobile ordering apps charge?
    • Look into other campuses in the area that have food trucks – trucks in the city vs. suburban; look into data/trends on consumer behavior
  • Internal Team Schedule (subject to change)
    • Sunday – Team working session
    • Monday/Tuesday – Internal deadline for deliverables; to share any materials with Linda for review as needed
