Each team will be assigned a mentor from the MS-DIM Advisory Council who will serve as a guide for the team throughout the project. Students and mentors are expected to meet regularly via WebEx and virtual discussions. Concrete deadlines and deliverables should be set in advance so that the mentors will have ample time and ability to provide the students with feedback. The team should develop a project plan at the onset and once approved by the instructor and mentor, should serve as the document of record to guide the timeline of the project.
It is recommended that you set up bi-weekly check ins with your mentors to gain feedback or guidance when necessary. It may be that every member of your team is not able to participate in every meeting, but please do monitor to ensure that each member is actively participating. Mentors should also have access to the team’s project site and utilize that to monitor progress and view documents.
Our mentors are very excited to participate in this experience and can provide a lot of guidance and insight. Be sure to keep in contact with them! All of these folks have mentored A level projects in previous cohorts!
