App UX Overview:
The design and launch of our native white-labeled BranchLab app are aimed to provide a seamless all-in-one digital experience for visiting gardens and botanical parks.
Proximity-based marketing technology such as beacons will be used to remind and trigger the installation of the app on smartphones, iPads and other mobile devices when visitors walk in any entrance of gardens and connect to Wi-Fi if needed. After visitors confirm the installation on the pop-up notice, the installation of BranchLab app starts immediately and multi-functionalities will be available minutes after the installation with a simple registration flow as well as a streamlined “Guest” application access. New users of the app will get a $5 coupon which can be redeemed in any e-store in the app or any stores or restaurants in the garden.
Returning customers will be able to easily access their pre-ordered tickets while members will be able to enter the gardens with their digital membership card in the app. Tickets can be purchased securely and easily via the eCommerce capability in the app and a quick scan by the gardens staff and you are off to explore the garden.
When the guide & map option is clicked, an interactive map of the park appears allowing visitors to pre-set the desired points of interest and generating the best-planned tour route automatically. A simple click of any garden location will provide real-time updates of on-going events, a reminder of any pre-arranged parties/activities, and discount/promotion of e-stores and restaurants.
The eCommerce capability in the app will not only allow visitors to purchase tickets/membership, but also to shop at the online gift shop, make a dining reservation, and arrange events (birthday parties, weddings, etc).
The camera button on the app allows visitors to turn on the camera for plant scanning (via Plant Snap API) to pull out additional information about specific flowers or plants. This brings in the basic introduction of the plant including name, origin, living environment, required care, and any related historic or cultural stories associated with the plant. A “Find an Expert” button is available for users to locate the nearest horticultural experts if you want to learn more via face-to-face interaction with the knowledgeable staff. Social media buttons are built in the app so users can share their pictures or videos any time they want.
Another unique characteristic of the app is AR-featured game, which allows visitors to play games in a similar style to Pokemon Go, Amikasa, Vivino, and Zombies GO! in horticultural background and environment. The mobile app will immerse the young and old in an educational learning experience leading them to explore the gardens.
The BranchLab app is designed to meet a growing expectation of consumers who want to have a digital experience integrated into their physical experiences like touring gardens and parks. The mobile app will offer increasing personalization based on your previous visits and preferences. It provides a convenient interface for you to enjoy flowers, horticultural education, music, performance, events, and joyful time with your friends and family.
