Team Meeting (w/ advisors) 10/8

Attendees:

Gretchen, Christine, Colleen, Akasha, Jane, Justin , Amy , Becca

General info:

  • Amy’s comments
    • Digital analysis, well thought out and thorough
    • Loves ERD & process diagrams
    • Data schema – separate people info from address info. Removes redundant data, add another table that is a membership data table. New table can track membership dates for renewal/retention. Unique ID is the member ID. Customer ID with the login.
    • Data around botanical gardens. Another viz data around the story of “how many people supplement their physical experience with a mobile device?” Answers the why. Could be online shopping/pick up in store. Look for the behaviors. Overlap of physical and digital.
    • What is model for interacting outside of Longwood Gardens?
  • Becca’s comments
    • Any data around apps driving customer retention and interaction. Another step towards telling our story.
    • Process model is excellent, remarkable we thought through whole process
    • Competitors – there are a lot of plant scan apps on the market. PlantNet Plant Identification might serve as a competitor. Plant apps as collaborator/competitor
    • Include why our app is better than another plant scan app.
    • Make sure everything supports our key value proposition
  • What is the impact/how are we improving the mobile experience?
  • For wireframes/prototype – Focus on features that hit our value proposition
  • Next deliverable is draft of final presentation – with draft headlines/content. A pitch deck.
    • Appendix can have the deeply detailed tables, slides
    • Reserve time to demo actual prototype
  • Marketing channels – may or may not be relevant to longwood gardens or we can make marketing kit for the client
  • On marketing – what is more beneficial?
    • How can we take the app to the consumer?
    • What support/assets/planning can we provide the longwood with that will help them reach their consumers?

Discussion:

  • What is model for interacting outside of Longwood Gardens?

Action Items:

  • Second drafts
  • Clarification from Greg & Kimberly on social deliverable. Selling to longwood or longwood selling to consumers?
