Dear Potential Investor,
You’re a working adult who has an elderly parent who is now requiring more doctors visits. Yet, you can’t miss anymore days at work. You’re looking for a trustworthy service that can provide special care given my parent’s health issues and get him/her to appointments on time and safely. We understand that finding a safe ride can be challenging and that is why we started CareCar. The service is for consumers who need specialized transportation that includes an extra level of care for themselves or a loved one. We want to give customers that peace of mind and control over the ride-sharing experience while we safely transport their loved ones to medical and non-medical destinations with the use of our certified vehicles and medically trained driver.
CareCar is a mobile application that provides a safer ride sharing experience than anything else available. The CareCar app can be downloaded onto mobile phones, providing people in need with an opportunity to schedule a ride for themselves or a loved one. CareCar can supply the safe and secure ride you need if you’re a surgery outpatient, a caregiver of aging seniors or adults with special-needs, or a parent of a child with disabilities, just to name a few.
We will offer our safe ride in a number of ways. First, CareCar’s drivers all come with clean background checks and specialized training in things like first aid and CPR. Many have a medical or caregiving background. Secondly, through GPS tracking and video viewing for caregivers, safety and security are built right into the ride.
Business Model and Strategy
The National Alliance for Caregiving reports an estimated 34.2 million Americans provide unpaid care to an older adult. 60% of caregivers are female and 49 years old on average. 78% help with transportation. 60% report having to make a workplace accommodation as a result of caregiving.
From 2008 to 2017, the population of people over the age of 65 has grown substantially. In 2008, there were 37.2 million people over 65. That number grew to 49.5 million by 2017. All states saw an aging population but California, Florida, Texas, New York, Pennsylvania had the most older adults as of 2017. And we predict that this trend will continue.
We will rely heavily on a digital marketing strategy and key partnerships to persuade our target customers that CareCar is the easy and safe solution to their transportation needs. With an older target demographic, Facebook will be a hub for our digital marketing outreach efforts. Influencer campaigns and a referral program will be key channels to drive word-of-mouth. Search engine marketing is also important for reaching people searching for safe transportation options.
Measurement of Outcome
Our goal and digital strategy aims to provide a safe option for people with higher needs (e.g. aging seniors, outpatients, or children) that allows caregivers to feel safe and in control while providing caregivers flexibility.
There are certainly a few competitors in our field, with Uber and Lyft occupying the majority of the rideshare market. Additionally, apps like Veyo and Uber Health have targeted people in need of a medical-related ride. However, what makes CareCar different is the added security that you get, to make sure that whoever is riding is getting there safely.
Since we will be new to the market, the first desired outcome is to increase brand awareness and recognition. The campaign launch for drivers will be initiated in November in celebration of National Family Caregivers Month. And the official launch of the CareCar mobile app will kick off on February 21, 2020 ahead of National Caregivers Day. Various digital tools will be used including website and marketing channels such as the mobile application and social media.
Thank you for your consideration. And we look forward to working with you.
Sincerely,
The CareCar Leadership Team: Cindy, Crystal, Ben, Nichole, Ryan, and Danielle
