In early 2020, the Fox School of Business offered an immersion opportunity to all current graduate students. Three of our MS-Digital Innovation students ~ Sara Kies, Kathleen Zacrep and Crystal Pizzaro participated and had an amazing experience.
This professional development immersion invited students to examine how Silicon Valley uses analytics to disrupt all facets of business. Students engaged with reputable professionals in the field to understand current and developing technologies’ impact on business through site visits, presentations, and discussions.
Here’s what Kathleen & Sara had to say about the trip:
“The California immersion trip was an amazing experience. I’ve made incredible friendships and gained valuable insight from industry professionals. One of my key takeaways is that failing is ok (and encouraged in the Bay Area) because that’s how you learn & grow – never be afraid to take risks! I highly recommend to those who have the opportunity to take an immersion trip. ” (K. Zacrep)
“Temple’s immersion to the Silicon Valley provided more than professional development. It created professional connections at organizations like Facebook, Google and Pandora. It introduced me to business concepts and strategies that I immediately put into practice. Most importantly, it created new friendships that will last a lifetime.” (S. Kies)
Keep an eye out for future immersion opportunities – last semester, some of our cohort spent a week in Rome, Italy!
