The average consumer attention span is 8 seconds so creating a marketing platform that grasps their attention in this limited time period proves to be more challenging than ever. I have seen and experienced, both as a consumer and marketer, the transformation of the marketing field. Technology is evolving and changing in its path marketing concepts such as brand communication, consumer behavior and the way we analyze data. I want to actively take part in this evolution. I am passionate about contributing to implement innovative marketing tools into the core of marketing strategies and to continue to shape the way we create, communicate and deliver valuable products to society.
Additionally, as an individual who craves to be continuously challenged, the marketing field proves to be full of learning opportunities. Through my internships and full-time experience, I have had the chance to see just how diverse the marketing field can be. It has a wide range of subject areas varying from marketing analytics to digital marketing. Therefore, creating solutions to a variety of critical marketing challenges based on the industry and the subject I was working on was exhilarating.
For example, I worked for a global company who was having a hard time connecting new leads on their website to the appropriate sales representative. I learned how to utilize their CRM and decided to create a new lead assignment process so that their global sales workflow was more efficient and productive. Within minutes, the new lead was assigned with the correct sales representative and contacted so that any question or request was fulfilled. We were able to then stay connected with our new customers, to streamline processes and to take full advantage of all new business opportunities. It was exciting to utilize a new CRM tool and rewarding to see the fruition of my work. I am eager to learn new ways to tackle the complexity of managing dynamic marketing projects with unique objectives, timelines and coordination in the future. All in all, I look forward to continuing to learn and grow professionally in this field with a Digital Innovation Master in Marketing degree.
