Biography

Thank you for looking at my e-portfolio! My name is Aksana Bukhaustsava. I was born and raised in Belarus and immigrated to the United States at the age of 20. My academic pursuit started at Temple University, where I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology. During my years at Temple, I had a particular interest in human interaction, conditioning, and decision making. I began to explore the area of Behavior Analysis and Behavior Economics, and with time I started recognizing the exponentially increasing role of technology. Our behavior, economic behavior to be exact, is intimately connected to the technological advances of our time.  I wondered how technology could be used to understand, inform, and steer such individual economic decisions. What could I do to impact these mechanisms? To me, this program is the answer to these and many other questions. I believe I can combine my knowledge of psychology with a specific set of skills and bring an edge and dimension to my career path.
