One of my favorite ways to stay on track with my eating and my weightloss is to track what I eat with Weight Watchers. This is the only weight loss program I have found where I can literally still eat all of my favorite foods. There is no counting calories or fasting for 12+ hours a day. WW goes off a points system that allows you to eat more whole foods, fruits and vegetables that are zero points and then every other food are points that you can choose to eat and then track everything at the end of the day. It is a great weight loss program for someone who is very lazy like me but also wants to stay on track and lose weight. You might be asking where I started learning about WW and how I became so in love with it because Weight Watchers is actually marketed towards the older crowd and not a 25 year old.
Well, it all started about 6 months ago when one of my favorite tiktokers showed a meal she made that was based on her points she had on her WW app. I was immediately intrigued and wanted to learn more about WW. Well I did my research and signed up. The next day, I saw the same influencer promoting her favorite meals from Taco Bell and McDonalds that are weight watcher friendly based on her points system. I was absolutely hooked and realized that just because I saw this on social media, it made me want to do it.
Since social media was one of the contributors that made me want to join WW, I decided to look into their social media strategy and see what they have in their mission to get people to join their weight loss program. In their media strategy, WW explains how they want people to become aware of the program through experiential marketing, influencer partnerships and social media advertising. This is exactly how I had found out about the weight watchers programs. They did exactly what they said in their media strategy to get people like me to join. They also use unique hashtags on their social media platforms to get people more engaged in their posts. For examples, they use the #livelifefully hashtag to highlight people’s lives and how they are living with the WW lifestyle. Weight watchers has support from so many other different brands and programs that it is hard for someone not to know what it is and what they offer.
