Last semester, I served as an Information Technology Assistant for the first programming course in the Management of Information Systems curriculum, Data-Centric Application Development. This semester, I have the privilege of serving as the Fox Peer Teacher for this course. As Fox Peer Teacher, I will hold office hours, tutor students one-on-one, sit in on classes and assist coordination of other assistants.
In Data-centric Application Development, many students encounter coding for the very first time. We begin with HTML and CSS. Then, we move into SQL, which is also focused on in another MIS course at Temple. We finish the semester with PHP and PDO to create real applications.
