A product of Visit Philadelphia, Uwishunu’s website is Philadelphia’s go-to resource for the best happenings in and around the city. Uwishunu allows page visitors to filter results by category, location, latest posts, popularity, etc.
Since Uwishunu already has a captured audience, they are missing an opportunity to capitalize on their users’ live feedback and further engage with the market in real-time. Creating an app that collects user data at venues in real-time through a live stream and heat maps, specifically of happy hours and the availability at venues at a given time, would provide Philadelphians with the luxury of visiting locations based on capacity and atmosphere which typically isn’t public information through other applications such as OpenTable. The app would also give Uwishunu access to valuable data on their audience’s demographics and preferences.
And this is how the idea for Social Llamma was born.
