My Interests

I’ve been working in the field of higher education for over 15 years.  My primary interests are in the areas of marketing and recruitment strategies.  I enjoy researching new markets and seeking ways to break into those markets.  Given that our audience is split between high school students and their parents, it is important that our marketing strategies are relevant to both populations.  I really enjoy finding ways to share our story in a way that is both attractive and inviting to both groups.  In recent years, I’ve become more interested in advertising opportunities on various social platforms as well as through google adwords.  The field of higher education is constantly evolving and that is what keeps me interested in remaining in the field.

Hey Collene! Awesome to see another DIM student working in Higher Ed (I work at Temple University myself). I agree that the field is constantly evolving, and that we as professionals need to evolve as well to meet the changing needs of students, educators, and the institution as a whole. I think that the DIM program is definitely going to benefit us both, in that we’ll be able to not only understand the digital landscape more, but we’ll be able to communicate our stories with a digitally-empowered audience.

It’s so great to have another higher ed person in the program! My husband often laughs at how different higher ed is from corporate America, so it’s nice to have someone familiar with the field in the program!
